Safeguarding

We are an organisation for children, young people, and adults at risk. We are committed to the care, wellbeing, and protection of all. We believe that all God’s children, young people, and adults at risk have the right to be safe and healthy, and to have their voices heard, respected, and valued.

The Safeguarding Contact Person for Glenelg Parish is Mary Royle. She can be contacted during office hours on 8294 1888.

Safeguarding Essentials Course

All clergy, employees, and volunteers in our Archdiocese are mandated notifiers under South Australian child protection legislation. All clergy, employees, and volunteers are required to complete the mandatory Safeguarding Essentials Training. This training covers children, young people, and adults at risk, and outlines the Archdiocese’s policies and procedures. The training can be completed online at your own pace or in a face-to-face session. Please contact the Safeguarding Operations team at caasafeoperations@adelaide.catholic.org.au or 8210 8150 to enrolled in training or register for an upcoming face-to-face session. Thank you for helping us provide a welcoming and safe environment for children, young people, and adults at risk.
